| MEET THE FETAL THERAPY TEAM Background: The CHLA-USC Institute of Maternal Fetal Health Fetal Therapy Program at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center provides minimally invasive surgical treatment for select fetal conditions that may afflict an unborn child. The primary fetal surgeon, Dr. Ramen Chmait, was recruited from Tampa, Florida to spearhead this program. Having worked in the nation’s busiest fetal surgery program with Dr. Ruben Quintero, the pioneer of operative fetoscopy, Dr. Chmait has accrued fetoscopic surgical experience that is unparalleled in the Western United States.
